I am a 20 year old undergraduate college student on the path towards full-time ministry. Four years ago, I heard God calling, and I have been discerning and pursuing that call ever since, acknowledging that I would simply be crazy to ignore it! (arguably crazier than pursuing it). There have been plenty of roadblocks and detours along this crazy journey, but all of it has been worth writing about which is one of the reasons I have this blog.
Along with being a [mini] preacher [in training] am an avid writer and blogger – I have had a love for writing since about the fourth grade, and I believe it is quite accurate to say that I have not stopped ever since. When I first created this blog, it was more of an outlet for myself, but as I got older and this site began to get more traffic, it was a humbling realization to find that it was an outlet not only for myself, but for others as well. I write about a wide variety of things on here, but know that because Jesus is the foundation of my life, he is the foundation of this blog. I write a lot about topics relating to mental health and mental illness, as that is something I am very outspoken about. I write frequently about recovery from such illnesses, as that is something I advocate for as well. I am a survivor of anorexia and my prayer is that I can use my story and journey through recovery to help other people struggling with similar challenges, whether it be through my writing, through the voice I have, or through simply being a listening ear. Because I am pursuing full-time ministry, you will find that many of my posts relate to church ministry, as well as my faith in God. God has been so gracious as to have given me guest preaching opportunities in various churches since hearing his call to pursue ministry four years ago, so I write often about those as well! I am very open to having people guest write for me, which you can find out more about by going to my ‘submit a guest post’ page. In my free-time, you can always find me on a mountain somewhere, in a coffee shop, or in a church. I love to hike, run, write, and be with my friends, and I have got a heart that loves to serve in the Church and in any other ways God will have me serve.
Thank you so much for taking the time to check out this site and may God’s grace and peace be with you!
